Keller ISD employee accused of improper relationship with student, officials confirm

Police told WFAA the charges stem from an investigation dating back to June 2017, but did not provide any further information.

KELLER, Texas — A former Keller Independent School District employee has been accused of having an improper relationship with a student in 2017, according to Tarrant County records.

Fort Worth police confirmed to WFAA that the charges stem from a warrant of arrest based on a case investigation from June 2017, but did not provide any further information. The charges were filed against 34-year-old Keli Borish, who Keller ISD confirmed to WFAA worked as a paraprofessional employee on multiple campuses from 2016 to May 2023.

Borish also worked as a student teacher at Trinity Meadows Intermediate School until mid-September 2023, Keller ISD officials told WFAA.

"We are very disappointed to learn about these allegations, which we have been informed took place in 2017," Keller ISD officials told WFAA in email. "While we do not have any additional information at this time, we will continue cooperating with the authorities in any way that we can. The distinctions between appropriate and inappropriate conduct are clearly established for all Keller ISD employees, and we will continue to hold all of our employees to the high standards we all expect from an educational institution."

According to Tarrant County records, charges of indecency with a child/sexual contact and improper relationship with a student were filed against Borish.

No further information was immediately available. WFAA has put in an open records request with Fort Worth PD to gather more details surrounding these charges.
