FORT WORTH -- A judge ruled Thursday a Cleburne mother accused of medically abusing her 13-year-old son by lying about his medical history will once again be allowed supervised visits with her boys, according to our content partners at the Star-Telegram.
Danita Tutt, 40, will be allowed weekly two-hour visits, supervised by Child Protective Services, with Colby, the alleged victim in the case, and her 9-year-old son, Colton.
The visits, as well as twice-a-week phone calls with the boys, must be recorded, State District Judge Ruben Gonzalez ruled Thursday.
The two-day hearing was held at the request of Tutt’s defense attorneys, Terri Moore and Michael Ware.
The attorneys had asked Gonzalez to amend Tutt’s bond conditions to reflect an earlier ruling by a Johnson County judge handling her CPS case that gave her supervised visits with the boys.
Under the previous bond conditions, Tutt had been prevented from having any contact with her sons, or any child under age 17, following her Aug. 5 arrest by Fort Worth police on a warrant accusing her of causing serious bodily injury to Colby.
