IRVING, Texas — Two women were arrested in connection to a double homicide in Irving on Jan. 19, police said Saturday.
The Irving Police Department said 34-year-old Nicolle Martinez Tome and 30-year-old Yudi Mabel Paguada Ruiz were both arrested for "Tampering With of Fabricating Physical Evidence." Irving PD said in a press release that both women helped 35-year-old Hector Vicente Paguada Paguada in eluding law enforcement and tampered with evidence.
Paguada, also known as "Hector Matute," is wanted for capital murder in connection to the double fatal shooting in the 2000 block of West Irving Boulevard.
Police have identified the shooting victims as 55-year-old Juana Medina Rodriguez and 23-year-old Nayeli Bolanos Medina. According to officials, Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene and Medina died from her injuries at a local hospital.
Police believe Matute know the victims but the motive for the shooting is not clear at this time.
According to Irving PD's update on Saturday, the search for Paguada continues.
If he's seen, Irving police ask witnesses not to confront him. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact Investigator Herring at sherring@cityofirving.org or call (972)721-2604.
Irving police said Tome’s bond was set at $25,000, but she has since bonded out of the Irving City Jail. Ruiz was in custody at the Dallas County Jail with a bond set at $75,000.
