IRVING, Texas -- Police have arrested a man for a double murder at an apartment complex in Irving Wednesday afternoon.
Christopher Rubio, 20, was taken into custody by Irving police. His bond has not yet been set.
Police responded to a shooting call at the Villa Valencia Apartments in the 300 block of Rolston Road around 5:25 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman shot dead in one of the apartments.
Officers at the scene were told the suspect, Rubio, was in a nearby apartment. A short time later, he was located and taken into custody.
Police say Rubio and the female victim had a relationship in the past, but the motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
