FORT WORTH, Texas — A Fort Worth man is charged with murder after police discovered his dead wife's body inside their home.
On April 19 around 9:40 p.m., Fort Worth police officers responded to a call of a deceased person at a home in the 5500 block of Whitman Ave. When officers arrived they discovered a woman's body wrapped inside a blue tarp in one of the bedrooms.
The woman was identified as 34-year-old Kristlynne Robertson. Off camera, her sister told WFAA she went by Kristle.
Kristlynne, a mom of five, loved country music, video games, and crocheting, her family told WFAA.
The married couple met in kindergarten and attended the grade school directly across the street from the home where Kristlynne's body was found.
Her husband, 33-year-old Christopher Robertson, later admitted to police he shot his wife and wanted to go to jail, according to the arrest warrant obtained by WFAA.
In the warrant, investigators stated it was Christopher's brother who discovered Kristlynne's body after returning from out of town. He noticed Christopher was "extremely intoxicated" and smelled a strong odor coming from his bedroom. When he looked inside, he noticed Kristlynne's body and called 911.
The medical examiner reported that she was shot once on the left side of her face, according to the arrest warrant.
Just before 1 p.m. on April 20, Fort Worth PD received a 911 call from Christopher admitting he killed his wife. The arrest warrant states he told the 911 dispatcher: "My father-in-law is going to kill me" and "I actually killed his daughter."
Investigators said the suspect handed over the gun he told police he used to kill Kristlynne.
The suspect had a history of violence. According to Crowley PD records, he was arrested in 2017 for making terroristic threats against family members/household.
Kristlynne's family told WFAA they warned her to leave him repeatedly.
The suspect is being held on a $100,000 bond at the Tarrant County Corrections Center.
