GREENVILLE, Texas — A police officer and a suspect are both receiving medical treatment after being injured during a shooting, according to the Greenville Police Department.
In a post to social media, Greenville PD confirmed that around 8 p.m. Monday, an officer with their department was involved in a shooting. Police said both the officer and the suspect involved are receiving medical attention.
The condition of the officer and the suspect is unknown at the time of publishing.
Greenville PD stated that the Texas Department of Public Safety's Texas Rangers will investigate the shooting.
"Our prayers go out to our community and to those who are injured as well as to their families," Greenville PD wrote.
