Man fatally shot in Garland identified by police

GARLAND, Texas — A man was found shot dead in Garland early Tuesday morning, police said. 

Officers responded to reports of a gunshot wound just before 6 a.m. at the intersection of Glenfield Drive and Cumberland Drive in Garland, police said in a press release. 

When officers arrived they found an unresponsive male shot, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. In an update on Thursday, police identified the man as 20-year-old Aydeion Garza, a Garland resident.

No arrests were made, police said. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in this case.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the Garland Police Department at 972-485-4840.
