FORT WORTH, Texas — SWAT officers were called to an apartment in Fort Worth after a gunman fled after shooting a woman early Wednesday, police say.
Fort Worth police, Fort Worth fire crews and MedStar responded to the apartment in the 900 block of E. Harvey Avenue, near the Morningside area off Interstate 35W, shortly before 4 a.m. and found a woman who’d been shot in the forearm, officials say.
The woman told police the man fled to a nearby apartment on foot, police say.
The woman was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, officials say.
SWAT officials took two people into custody without incident later Wednesday.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. More details weren't immediately available.
