Caught on camera: Suspect armed with machete robs Fort Worth store

Surveillance video shows a suspect in a black hoodie and black sweatpants going into a store and using a machete during the Christmas Eve robbery.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Investigators are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect who used a machete to rob a North Texas smoke shop this week, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

On Christmas Eve at about 2:30 a.m., police say a suspect robbed a business in the 6700 block of Crowley Road in Fort Worth. This is south of Edgecliff Village and near Goodwill North Central Texas.

Surveillance video released by the Fort Worth Police Department shows a suspect in a black hoodie and black sweatpants go into a store with a machete in his right hand. The suspect points the machete multiple times at the store employee as he robs the store.

Investigators say they believe the same suspect robbed this same location on Dec. 18, 2023, as well.
