FORT WORTH, Texas — One person died after being shot in south Fort Worth, police said.
Officers responded to a shooting around 10:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov 24 in the 1200 block of E Davis Avenue and found a man dead in a driveway with a gunshot wound, according to a press release from Fort Worth police.
Police found the suspect leaving a nearby residence and detained one person in connection with the shooting at the scene, officials say.
Detectives say they believe the man who was shot and the suspect were involved in a verbal and physical altercation before the suspect fired a handgun at the man, hitting him multiple times, officials say.
During the investigation the suspect had a medical emergency and was transported to an area hospital for medical evaluation, police say, and no arrests have been made at this time.
