A 24-year-old Fort Worth man was arrested by Cleburne Police Wednesday for online solicitation of a minor.
Police said John Rouzbeh Wenzel drove to a home he thought belonged to a 14-year-old girl “with the sole purpose of having sex” with her.
Wenzel had been texting a police officer posing as a young girl online, according to police.
He arrived at the Cleburne home just before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, when he was arrested. Wenzel was booked into the Johnson County jail on $100,000 bond.
Last year, Johnson County’s “Stop the Offender Program” netted at least 20 victims, including 16 in a single sting operation in July.
Officers from Cleburne, Burleson and Johnson County posed as children online to catch the predators as part of the operation.
"We do these operations around the state and I'm happy to say this is the most successful operation we've ever done in our history," David Maxwell, the director of law enforcement for the Texas Attorney General's Office, told News 8 last year.
"There is nothing more important than our children. Everybody is going to agree about that. The online predators are a scourge on our society."
