Former Corsicana bakery exec admits to stealing millions

Former Collin Street Bakery accountant Sandy Jenkins has been arrested on charges of embezzling more than $16 million from the bakery.

The former accountant for Corsicana's landmark Collin Street Bakery has admitted to stealing millions of dollars.

Sandy Jenkins, 65, pleaded guilty to mail fraud, money laundering, and lying to a bank. He stole $16 million while working at the bakery for 15 years before he was terminated last June.

Jenkins faces up to 60 years in prison, and must repay his former employer.

Kay Jenkins. the accused man's 64-year-old wife, also faces charges. Her trial is set for August 25.

Federal prosecutors allege that the Jenkins used the money to fund 'a lavish lifestyle' that included a $658,000 vacation home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, jewelry and watches valued at millions of dollars, luxury automobiles, 'and more than 200 trips on a private jet.'
