FARMERSVILLE, Texas — A Farmersville man formerly employed as a custodian in Caddo Mills ISD was arrested Wednesday on complaints of possession of child pornography, deputies say.
Collin County deputies said no Caddo Mills students were involved. Caddo Mills ISD says the man, Sean Day, worked in a district warehouse supervising custodians and had no role in supervising students.
Deputies say a tip started an investigation that led to Day’s arrest this week. Day faces charges of possession with intent to promote child pornography and confessed during questioning, according to the Collin County Sheriff’s Office. He was booked into the Collin County Detention Facility and posted a $40,000 bond, officials say.
Day was fired immediately after the district was notified of the investigation involving him, according to a letter from Caddo Mills ISD Superintendent Luke Allison.
“We live in a fallen world. As a parent of four kids and your superintendent, I cannot tell you how sickened I am. As educators and parents, we all must continue working together to take care of our kids,” Allison wrote.
