The father of Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes was arrested on a public intoxication charge during the Red Raiders’ game at TCU on Saturday, according to a police report.
Pat Mahomes, 46, a former major-league pitcher, was taken into custody at Amon Carter Stadium at 5:45 p.m., toward the end of Texas Tech’s double overtime win over the Horned Frogs.
An off-duty Fort Worth police officer who was working at the game made the arrest, said Officer Tamara Valle, a Fort Worth police spokesperson.
Valle could not provide further details because TCU police handled the incident.
