DALLAS — Investigators are trying to find the suspect involved in a shooting that left one person dead and sent two others to the hospital, according to the Dallas Police Department.

On Thursday around 8:30 p.m., Dallas police say officers responded to a shooting call in the 3000 block of Fordham Road. This is south of Sargent Park and east of Cedar Crest in East Oak Cliff.

The preliminary investigation determined that when officers arrived, they found a 30-year-old man, Lemarcus Williams, shot and lying on the ground. Officers performed CPR until Dallas Fire Rescue arrived and took Williams to a local hospital where he died, officials say.

Two other people, a man and a woman, were also shot and taken to local hospitals for treatment. They were last listed in stable condition. Police have not identified who these two people are.

This investigation is ongoing and will be referred to the Dallas County Grand Jury.

The investigation is documented under case number 191493-2023.
