DALLAS — A man was killed and a DART train was hit by gunfire after a shooting in downtown Dallas, according to the Dallas Police Department.
DPD said the shooting happened around 3:50 p.m. in the 400 block of N. Harwood St. in downtown Dallas. According to police, one man was shot and he died at the scene.
According to a spokesperson with DART, a Red Line train was struck by gunfire during the shooting. The spokesperson said no passengers were injured, and that train was deboarded at Union Station. A DART spokesperson confirmed that the train was taken off the line and will likely be investigated by DPD.
Dallas PD said they are investigating. DART said passengers should expect a 10-minute delay for rail passengers.
