DALLAS — Dallas police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found early Saturday morning, according to officials.
Police said that they were called at about 2 a.m. to the 3500 block of Southern Oaks Boulevard. When they arrived, they said they found a man dead at the scene.
At first, the case was being investigated as an "unexplained death."
Records from the Dallas County Medical Examiner's identified the victim as 38-year-old Victor Bernard Taylor Jr.
According to Dallas police, the Medical Examiner's Office determined that Taylor had been shot. His case as since been reclassified as a homicide.

Taylor's body was found about two blocks away from where police said they found a 16-year-old boy was found shot about five hours prior.
Dallas police said they were called to the 3500 block of Southern Oaks at around 9 p.m. Friday. The teen, later identified as Trelynn Derrion Henderson, died in a hospital.
It's not clear if the two cases are connected.
