DALLAS — A suspect running away from police was captured in a creek bed by a police dog, officers said.
A man driving a vehicle associated with an aggravated robbery was spotted by police in Dallas near Jenny Dale Lane, officers on the scene told WFAA. When police attempted to pull over the suspect, he ran away, leaving the vehicle and running toward the Trinity River, officers said.
While the suspect was running away, a gun in his waistband went off but no one was injured, police said.
The suspect was hiding in a creek bed when a Dallas Police K-9 began to search the area. The dog bit the suspect, allowing police to take him into custody. No officers were injured in the pursuit.
