DALLAS — A two-year-old girl is hospitalized after a man shot into a vehicle Sunday night in East Dallas, police said.
Police responded to a shooting call around 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, in the 8500 block of Sweetwater Drive, located near Ferguson Road and Lakeland Drive, according to a press release from the Dallas Police Department.
Investigators found that a man shot into a vehicle, striking a two-year-old girl who was inside the car, the release stated. The girl was taken to a hospital and at last check was in stable condition, police said Monday afternoon.
Jason Cain, 50, was arrested on complaints of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with serious bodily injury, and the investigation is ongoing, police say.
