DALLAS — Two people have died and another was injured in a shooting that happened in Dallas on Thursday afternoon, police said.
The Dallas Police Department said officers responded at around 6 p.m. Thursday to the 5300 block of Second Avenue, where they found three people shot at the location. Two of those three victims died, police said, and the third was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
A male suspect fled the scene, police said.
Witnesses of the shooting at a gas station and liquor store nearby told WFAA that the vehicle involved in the shooting had paper tags. Patrons of the gas station said they heard gunshots and hid in the store. A gas station clerk told WFAA the shooting happened in a lot typically used for truckers to park.
