DALLAS — A Cedar Hill man was arrested Tuesday on a capital murder complaint in connection with the shooting death of an 18-year-old in southern Dallas, police say.
The Dallas Police Department (DPD) said officers responded to a shooting call at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the 4500 block of Rockport Drive. This is near the Bennie Mae Community Center and Salvation Army Thrift Store, at the intersection of Interstate 35E and Loop 12 in southern Dallas.
When officers got there, they found 18-year-old Noah Willis shot. Willis died at the scene, according to DPD.
Police said Willis seemed to have been robbed before he was shot. According to arrest records, 18-year-old Laquinton Bass was booked in the North Tower Detention Facility. Bass' bond was set to $1.25 million.
