DALLAS — Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in a vehicle on East R. L. Thornton Freeway early Saturday morning.
According to police records, the shooting was reported about 5:23 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the freeway by South Harwood Street.
Officials tell WFAA that the man was shot while driving on the freeway. He then lost control of the vehicle and struck a sign before he died.
As of Saturday afternoon, there is no information available that identifies the victim, any suspects, or what led up to the shooting.
