DALLAS — Three people were arrested in connection to a shooting that killed one person and injured two others in a Dallas motel room Sunday night, police said.
Officers responded to a shooting call around 10:40 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at the Grand Inn located at 220 W. Camp Wisdom Road, police on the scene told WFAA.
One man was found dead in a motel room, police said. Two other people were found with non-life-threatening injuries and taken to a hospital, police said. One woman had a gunshot wound to her leg and another man had a gunshot wound to the chest, officers said.
The victim was later identified as 18-year-old Gage Abe.
The other man is in critical condition and the woman is in stable condition, police say.
Three suspects, 19-year-old Donte Washington, 20-year-old Curtisha Jackson and 17-year-old Michael Chew were arrested and charged with murder. All three are currently in the Dallas County Jail, according to a release from Dallas Police.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the man who died.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dallas Police Detective Joann Castillo at 214-671-4739 or joann.castillo@dallaspolice.gov.
Dallas police did not release any information about potential suspects but investigators believe there may have been a gunfight based on the number of shell casings found inside and outside of the motel, police said.
