DALLAS — Dallas police have arrested a suspect in connection to a double shooting that killed one person and injured another Tuesday night.

Officers responded to a shooting call around 10:35 p.m. Tuesday, June 11 at Winnetka Avenue and W. 12th Street, the Dallas Police Department said in a statement.

Police found two men shot and both were transported to a hospital. One victim, later identified as 23-year-old Stephano Osorio, died. The other victim, a 16-year-old male, is in stable condition, police said.

Salvador Martinez, 20, was later identified as a suspect in the shooting. The suspect and victims were involved in a recent, ongoing argument, police said, Martinez was charged with murder.

Officers on the scene told WFAA the shooting started as an altercation in a nearby park. When the victim tried to leave, the suspect followed them in a vehicle and shot them. The suspect left the scene of the shooting, police said.
