DALLAS — The Arlington Police Department arrested a Dallas police officer on Sunday, charging him with aggravated sexual assault of a child, officials said.
Brennon Wilkinson, who has been with the Dallas Police Department since January 2020, was also charged with indecency with a child - sexual contact and indecency with a child - exposure, according to a police news release.
Arlington police confirmed they were notified by Denton County authorities about a suspect connected to a sexual assault case from Little Elm may have been in the city. APD officers serving on the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force found Wilkinson, 28, in the city and arrested him without incident, police said.
Jail records show Wilkinson was in the Tarrant County Jail but has been since been transferred to the Denton County Jail. He has three bonds totaling $200,000.
DPD said Wilkinson was assigned to the North Central Patrol Division. He is on administrative leave pending an investigation by Internal Affairs.
