Dallas police need help locating suspect of fatal hit-and-run

Police said the vehicle did not stop to help the victim and continued eastbound on Samuell Boulevard.

DALLAS — Dallas police need the public's help finding a driver who struck and killed a pedestrian near Samuell-Grand Park.

The Dallas Police Department said officers responded at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 24 to the 3800 block of Samuell Boulevard, east of Valley Glen Drive. When officers got to the scene, they determined 31-year-old Jose Antonio Herrera-Hernandez was walking eastbound and was hit by a vehicle. Herrera-Hernandez died at the scene.

Police said the vehicle did not stop to help the victim and continued eastbound on Samuell Boulevard. Dallas police said they do not have suspect or suspect vehicle information.
