DALLAS — Dallas police have arrested one woman after she reportedly confessed to shooting an 80-year-old woman early Sunday morning.
Police said Dallas 9-1-1 got a call at about 5:10 a.m. from the Grand Prairie Police Department that a woman had come into their station and said she had shot a woman in Dallas in the 4700 block of Colwick Avenue. That's near Sunnyvale Street and 50th Street.
When they got to the scene, they said they found the victim, Betty Lou Hearn, with multiple gunshot wounds. Hearn died at the scene.
The suspect, 30-year-old Kelsie Miles, was charged with one count of murder and taken to the Dallas County Jail. Records show she has a $750,000 bond.
