Thief rips ATM from Dallas parking lot, but doesn't get far, police say

Police said the incident happened around 2:35 a.m. in the 3400 block of Buckner Boulevard, near Scyene Circle in southeast Dallas.

DALLAS — Someone stole an ATM from a Dallas parking lot early Tuesday morning, police said.

The incident happened around 2:35 a.m. in the 3400 block of Buckner Boulevard, near Scyene Circle in southeast Dallas. Police said they learned that an unknown suspect took the ATM from the parking lot.

The ATM was later found in a nearby parking lot in the 3300 block of Buckner. No arrests have been made in the case, and no suspects have been named.

It was unclear if any cash was taken from the machine. More information about the case was not released from police.

Later Tuesday morning, the parking lot where the ATM was stolen still had debris strewn across it, including part of the ATM frame and parking barriers.
