DALLAS — A 17 year old was arrested on a murder complaint in connection with the shooting death of two other teens in southwest Dallas Dec. 30.

Obbie Perez, 17, was booked into the Dallas County Jail Thursday on a capital murder charge, jail records show. His bond is set at $2 million.

The Dallas Police Department said officers responded at approximately 5:20 p.m. Dec. 30 to the 6100 block of Mountain Creek Parkway for a shooting call. When officers got to the scene, they found two teens shot inside of a vehicle.

Dallas police said Dallas Fire-Rescue also responded.

A 15-year-old boy was declared dead at the scene, and a 16-year-old boy was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, DPD said.

Dallas police said they would not release the names of the victims due to their ages.
