DALLAS — Dallas police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred overnight in Northwest Dallas.
The Dallas Police Department (DPD) responded to a shooting call around 2:45 a.m. Sunday, May 19 at 2000 W Northwest Highway. They found a man with a gunshot wound. The victim, 34-year-old Jamal Cooksey, was transported to a hospital where he dies of his injuries, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
