DALLAS — One person died and two others were hospitalized in a Dallas shooting on Friday night, police said.
The Dallas Police Department (DPD) said officers responded at approximately 9:10 p.m. to the 3400 block of South Malcolm X Boulevard for a shooting call. When officers got there, they found 43-year-old Edward Wilson shot on the ground outside of a vehicle. Wilson died at the scene, DPD said.
Two other men were shot, according to DPD. One man was taken by Dallas Fire-Rescue to a local hospital, and the other was transported by a private vehicle in stable condition, police said.
Dallas police said the suspects in two white pickup trucks drove southbound on Malcolm X Blvd. and fired multiple shots at the vehicle Wilson was sitting in while a group was gathered there.
Police said they do not have a suspect description but have released surveillance video hoping to track down the suspects.
