DALLAS — Investigators are looking for a suspect who shot someone while trying to take their car, according to the Dallas Police Department.
On Friday around 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 3700 block of Carpenter Ave. This is in South Dallas near Parkdale Lake.
The initial investigation determined an unknown suspect shot the victim in the leg while attempting to take their vehicle. The suspect left the location.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for further medical treatment, according to police.
This is still an ongoing investigation that will be documented under case number 187522-2023.
