The officer, Frank Johnson, was fired after a disciplinary hearing on the issue with Chief Eddie Garcia, according to the police department. Johnson was placed on administrative leave in March pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation, police said at the time.

Johnson was off duty when he was arrested for public intoxication in Little Elm on March 24, officials say.
