COLLIN COUNTY A Dallas police officer was in the Collin County Jail on Tuesday.
Sgt. Stormy Magiera was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with misdemeanor assault in connection with an alleged family violence incident that happened in the city of Murphy.
Magiera has been with the Dallas Police Department for more than 11 years.
She was on administrative leave at the time of her arrest. She is under investigation for allegedly lying about circumstances under which she said she was robbed while off-duty last month.
The incidents are not related, police said.
