DALLAS — One man has been arrested after another man was hit and killed by a car while crossing LBJ Freeway after an accident on Sunday morning in Dallas.
Police say the victim was involved in a two-car crash that officers were called to at about 3:20 a.m. Sunday in the 5700 block of LBJ Freeway.
Both drivers remained at the scene, but one of the drivers walked across the highway to get witness information and was hit by a vehicle while walking back, police say.
Dallas Fire Rescue responded, but the victim died at the scene. The suspect driver, 34-year-old Daniel Cervantes, left on foot, and was later arrested and charged with collision involving death.
Police are not identifying the victim until his family has been notified.
