Dallas police arrest 5 people, seize stolen guns and illegal drugs

DALLAS — Dallas police say five people have been arrested following a search warrant where illegal drugs and stolen firearms were found.

On Wednesday, authorities served a warrant at an apartment in the 2600 block of Jeffries St. Once inside the home, DPD said it recovered six stolen guns, 21 pounds of marijuana, THC wax, 300 grams of methamphetamine pills, promethazine, cocaine and psilocybin, or “mushroom” chocolate bars.

Police said the "Place Network Investigation (PNI)" stemmed from identifying people who frequent areas known for criminal activity.

Lorenzo Hicks, 27; Brandon Hall, 22; Dalarry Runnels, 19; Brynae Jones, 27; and Ricky Morrison, 24, were all arrested for possession of marijuana, manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine, manufacture/delivery of THC Wax and manufacture/delivery of cocaine, DPD said.

The PNI unit, along with DPD's SWAT team, gang unit and officers from DPD's Southeast Patrol all assisted in the investigation.
