DALLAS — A woman has died and a man has been arrested after a hit-and-run crash at Jim Miller Road and Bruton Road early Wednesday morning, Dallas police said.
The Dallas Police Department said it was looking for the driver of a vehicle involved in the crash who fled the scene in another vehicle. Officials told WFAA the suspect was headed northbound on Jim Miller Road when his vehicle struck a curb and a signal pole, spun across Burton, overturned, and struck the victim's car.
The woman driving that second car was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead. She has been identified as 42-year-old Maria Guerrero, according to the Medical Examiner.
Police said the suspect 26-year-old Billy Ray Williamson was arrested and charged with collision involving death.
Williamson's bond was set at $50,000.
