Two men were arrested in Wylie last week after investigators found evidence of child pornography and videos of animal torture on the mens' property, the Collin County Sheriff's Office reported Tuesday.
While executing a search warrant in the 100 block of Pheasant Run in Wylie last Wednesday, Child Exploitation Unit investigators found a computer that contained images of child pornography and videos of a Dachshund dog being tortured, the sheriff's office said.
38-year-old Sean Bartlett and 20-year-old Logan Bridgefarmer were both arrested for cruelty to a non-livestock animal, and Bartlett was also arrested for possession of child pornography, the sheriff's office said.
Bartlett and Bridgefarmer are currently being held at the Collin County Detention Facility. Their bonds are set at $150,000 and $75,000, respectively, according to jail records.
"We are absolutely committed to stand between good and evil and to pursue those who would perpetrate such heinous crimes," Collin County Sheriff Jim Skinner said in a statement Tuesday about the arrests. "There's a special place for anyone that possesses child pornography and would torture an animal like was done here..in Texas we call it the State Penitentiary."
