Police trying to identify body found by North Texas construction workers

The body was discovered last month near County Road 398 and S. Beauchamp Blvd at a construction site.
Princeton Police say they busted a labor trafficking ring, but an attorney for one of the four suspects says he’s seen no proof anyone was being forced to work.

PRINCETON, Texas — Princeton police are working to identify a body that was found at a construction site last month.

Police said the body was discovered around 3 p.m. on Sept. 5 near County Road 398 and S. Beauchamp Blvd. at a construction site.

The crew that was working at the development called the police when they came across the body of a man while prepping the site.

Police have learned more details on the person's ethnicity, and believe he is Asian, including Amerindian and Hispanic descent.

The man is believed to be between 15 and 25, police say, most likely falling in the middle of that range.

Police say they do not believe the intersection where the man was found was the location where he died.

The Collin County Medical Examiner was called to the scene to remove the body and will determine the cause of death.

The Collin County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Rangers are assisting Princeton PD with the investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call Princeton PD at 972-736-3901.

No other details about the incident have been released.
