BALCH SPRINGS, Texas — The Balch Springs Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with the murder and robbery of a 20-year-old man.
Police said surveillance video captured the moment the alleged suspect ran away from the victim’s car between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. at the Autumn Run Apartments near Balch Springs Road and Quail Drive on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
Balch Spring PD said in a news release that the suspect is accused of robbing the victim, identified as 20-year-old Fernando Martinez Godina, of a large amount of THC vape pens.
Police said the suspect may be trying to sell them or use them for themselves.
The department didn’t say how Godina was killed, but said the suspect in the murder should be considered armed and dangerous.
Police are asking anyone with information, videos or pictures related to the capital murder to call Detective Valdez at 972-557-6016.
The investigation is ongoing.
