ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington police said they've arrested an 18-year-old man in connection to a drive-by shooting that was reported early Sunday morning.

Police responded to a shooting call at about 4:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of Melissa Street by New York Avenue and Menefee Street.

When officers arrived, they said they found a truck with multiple bullet holes in it. A neighbor's window was also hit by gunfire.

Investigators said a homeowner in the neighborhood was throwing a party. At one point, one of the guests, who police identified as 18-year-old Stephen Soto, "became upset, pulled out a gun, and pointed it at multiple people."

Police said Soto left the party, but returned to the neighborhood soon after and shot multiple rounds as he drove by the home.

No injuries were reported.

Arlington police said Soto was quickly identified, found, and taken into custody. Jail records show he has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
