51-year-old man shot, killed in East Arlington, police say

ARLINGTON, Texas — A man was shot and killed Tuesday night in East Arlington, according to police.

The Arlington Police Department (APD) said officers responded at approximately 10:38 p.m. Tuesday to the the 2200 block of Remynse Drive after someone reported a man lying face down on the ground. When officers got to the scene, they found a man had been shot. 

The man, an unidentified 51-year-old, was transported to the hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.

Police said it was unclear why the victim was at the location. Detectives were working to canvass the area looking for any surveillance video and witnesses. 

No arrests have been made.
