ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington police are looking for suspects involved in a Sunday morning drive-by shooting.
According to APD, the shooting happened at a home in the 1000 block of Tennessee Trail around 2:50 a.m. Sunday morning.
While investigating, Arlington police say they found multiple shell casings outside the home and multiple bullet holes in the front window and wall of the house.
A 19-year-old man was shot multiple times, police say. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive, APD stated in a release.
APD says a 5-year-old girl was also shot in the hand and taken to the hospital; her injuries were not life-threatening.
Arlington police say they believe a 20-year-old man may have also been grazed by a bullet, but he declined transportation to the hospital and opted to be treated at the scene.
Two more people were in the house and were uninjured, APD says.
Police say they do not have suspect information, and the people in the house told police they do not know who or why someone would shoot at their home.
A neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous because she fears retaliation, told WFAA she was outside Sunday morning and saw a person get out of a vehicle and shoot at the home nearby.
"Fire, fire, fire, fire - it just did not stop," she said. "I didn't run back in the house. I froze."
She said there have been shootings nearby before. The woman told WFAA she'll move into a hotel until she can find a different place to live.
Arlington police confirmed they've taken three reports of possible gunfire within two blocks of the home this year.
In February, police said someone found shell casings in a vacant lot nearby. In January and in April, 911 callers reported hearing gunshots, though police could not find evidence of a shooting after either report.
An Arlington police spokesperson told WFAA investigators do not have a good vehicle description yet. They canvassed the neighborhood Monday looking for new witnesses or surveillance video, he said.
