An argument in Azle ended in deadly gunfire Sunday evening, police said.
In a written statement, Interim Chief D.D. West said two men were engaged in a verbal altercation in the 600 block of Stewart Street just before 6 p.m.
"The disturbance escalated to a point where one of the subjects produced a handgun and shot the second subject multiple times," West said.
The shooting victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect surrendered without incident.
West said detectives are still investigating what led to the argument.
No names have been released.
