EULESS, Texas — The Euless Police Department said 40-year-old Jorge Pulido Lara was shot and killed by his girlfriend, 43-year-old Bridget Leitao, on Sunday, May 26.
According to police, officers responded to the 100 block of West Airport Freeway around 10:30 p.m. to the report of a gunshot victim lying on the ground.
Police said when officers arrived, they found Lara, who had been shot in the chest. Euless paramedics determined Lara was dead at the scene.
According to police, officers were able to contact Leitao, who told them Lara was her boyfriend. Leitao was arrested at the scene after she told officers that she shot Lara during an argument.
Police said Leitao is charged with murder and is being held at the Tarrant County Jail. Her bond has not yet been set.
