DALLAS — The Dallas Police Department arrested and charged 31-year-old Kenneth Horton with murder for his role in a deadly shooting on March 16.
On that day, officers responded to the 1700 block of Mentor Avenue for a welfare check. Once there, officers found 31-year-old Christopher Hawkins unresponsive on the ground outside, police say.
According to police, Dallas Fire Rescue responded to the scene and discovered that Hawkins had been shot.
Police say Hawkins died at the scene.
A SWAT unit executed a search warrant at the home, but no one was found inside, according to police.
