Two people were shot Sunday evening in Far Northeast Dallas, according to police.
Kaleb Simpson, 20, was shot and killed and another person was shot in the hand, police said.
Simpson was pronounced dead at the scene while the person he was with was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to police.
The shooting happened just before 6:30 p.m. at the Summerwood Cove Apartments near the Woodbridge neighborhood.
Simpson was in a car with the other victim when a dark, four-door Nissan sedan pulled behind them and shot at the car multiple times before fleeing out through the front of the apartment complex, witnesses told police.
The shooter remains at large, according to officials.
