COLLIN COUNTY, Texas — A man wanted on complaints on charges of murder and robbery in Indiana was arrested in Collin County this week.
Raymond Washington III, 17, was wanted in Allen County, Indiana on two counts of murder, one count of robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, and one for firearm used in the commission of an offense, officials said in a press release. Those charges are in connection with a July 2023 incident in which Washington was accused of conspiring with two others to commit robbery and murder that led to the death of a 17-year-old girl, officials said.
The U.S. Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force, U.S. Marshals, and the Texas Department of Public Safety located Washington in Allen and apprehended Washington on Jan. 9, according to the press release.
Washington will remain in the Collin County Detention Facility, pending extradition to Allen County, Indiana, according to officials.
