HALTOM CITY, Texas — A North Texas teen died in the hospital after a suspected road rage shooting, according to the Haltom City Police Department.
Police say the 16-year-old victim was shot on Sept. 15 between 4:15 and 4:30 a.m. The teen was driving northeast on E. Belknap St. from Bernice St. when he was shot, according to Haltom City PD. Police say four suspects were believed to be driving a sedan, and one of them fired the shot at the teen.
According to a release from HCPD, the teen died from his injuries. Haltom City Police believe this is an isolated incident, and the victim did not know the suspect.
HCPD says detectives have identified the car as a 1999 black Honda Accord with a grey hood and grey front-right quarter panel with a license plate reading "FNV9986".
