DALLAS — Dallas police are investigating the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy who they say was accidentally killed by a 15-year-old Sunday morning.
Police say they were called at about 10:45 a.m. to a shooting in the 2200 block of Harlandale Avenue, where they found the victim shot inside the home. Dallas Fire-Rescue took the teen to a local hospital where he later died.
Officials say it was determined a 15-year-old boy inside the home was holding a gun and accidentally shot the victim.
Police charged the 15-year-old with criminal negligent homicide and took him to the Henry Wade Juvenile Justice Center.
The investigation is ongoing, police added.
